Fertility Treatment
Conceiving and having a child is the best news for any couple who want to become parents. Sometimes a little nudge with some medical treatments can help to realize the dream of being parents. MedIncredi facilitates the IVF and IUI fertility treatments in clinics which are renowned for these treatments.
IVF
Many couples all over the world have conceived with the help of IVF treatments. In-Vitro fertilization or IVF is an Assisted Reproductive Technique which has seen excellent success rate. In this procedure, the doctor removes the eggs from the ovaries of a woman which is then fertilized with the sperm of the husband/donor in a lab. The embryos which are formed are then put back into the woman’s uterus to achieve pregnancy.
Before starting the IVF procedure, the doctor will take into consideration your age as well as medical history. A basic evaluation is conducted and routine blood tests are done to check the physical fitness.
Extra tests are also done to check the hormone levels, determine the ovarian reserve and more. The doctor may prescribe some medicines to you also. Sometimes both the man and woman need specialized treatment or only one of you may need extra treatment to overcome infertility.

IUI (Intrauterine Insemination)
This is a procedure to treat infertility. It is often recommended when the male has low sperm motility or low sperm count, erectile disfunction problems when fertilization of the female egg is difficult with normal intercoruse. The treatment increases sperm count to adequate numbers, which can swim through fallopian tube, thus increasing the chance of fertilization.
Sperm which have been washed and concentrated is placed directly into the uterus during the period of time when the ovary releases eggs to be fertilized.
IUI is used in these cases:
Use of Donor Sperm:
Frozen donor sperm are obtained from the certified labs which are then thawed and used in the IUI procedure.
Endometriosis related infertility:
Infertility which is caused due to endometriosis, medications are used to obtain high quality egg after which IUI is done improving pregnancy chances.
Unexplained Infertility:
Doctors choose IUI as the first treatment when the cause of infertility is undetermined or unknown along with some ovulation-inducing medication.
Cervical Factor Infertility:
The cervix, located between the vagina and uterus, produces mucus at ovulation time, which creates the ideal conditions for sperm to swim to the fallopian tubes. If the mucus is too thick then the sperm’s journey may be impeded, thus preventing fertilization. Sometimes scarring caused by biopsy or other factors causes the cervix to become thick. In these cases, the IUI bypasses cervix and deposits the sperm directly into the uterus increasing chances of fertilizing the egg.
Semen Allergy:
In a rare situation, allergy to the proteins in the semen causes infertility. Swelling, burning and redness occurs in the vagina when semen contacts the skin. Condoms protect from this allergy, but they prevent pregnancy. IUI is the most effective method in cases when a woman has semen allergy.
Ovulatory Factor Infertility:
IUI is performed for women who have infertility problems due to less eggs or who do not ovulate.
